The RSPN has taken extra precautions to conserve these wonderful guests as well as 13 other vulnerable species because the Phobjika valley is home to more of them than any other region of the country. Read informative displays on the cranes’ habitat and behaviour, and use the centre’s spotting-scopes to search for cranes in the valley. Wild cranes are only visible during the winter months, but if you visit outside of this time, you may still observe black-necked cranes being rehabilitated at the centre. You can also take a two-hour walk around the valley to learn about the flora and fauna that live in this magnificent area.
